CEP : The referendum will not take place in May
While the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) has already submitted a timetable, a budget, and a draft decree for the referendum, the Transitional Presidential Council (CPT) has still not published the documents in the official newspaper "Le Moniteur", causing a delay in the process. Consequently, the CEP announces that, in the absence of these publications, the referendum will not take place in mid-May as initially planned, and that it is currently unable to set a new date. If delays continue to mount, there is a fear that the 2025 elections will no longer be possible...

Food For The Poor Suspends Operations in PAP
Following the kidnapping of two of its employees, who were held captive for three days before being released, Food For The Poor (FFTP - Haiti), which has been operating in Haiti for nearly 40 years, has announced the temporary suspension of its operations at its Port-au-Prince office. The Nippes and Nord offices are operating normally.
