Haiti - FLASH : The Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy vandalized and looted 23/04/2024 09:54:22
The Rectorate of the State University of Haiti (RUEH) underlines in a denunciation note "[...] the damage remains to be assessed. However, they risk being simply unsustainable. According to initial information, it was noted that almost all of the institution's solar panels and electrical equipment, cafeteria equipment and several service vehicles were stolen. The Rectorate joins the deanship of the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy to denounce and vehemently condemn these acts of vandalism and looting against this heritage represented by this entity of the UEH which has trained and continues to train health professionals high level serving all segments of the population. [...] These systematic attacks against UEH entities are unacceptable and incomprehensible. Perplexed, the Rectorate wonders who has an interest in destroying the largest public university center in the country ? Could this destructive machine be part of a plot against the Haitian intelligentsia ?
