Haiti - Diaspora : Prelude to the commemoration of the 237 years of the Battle of Savannah 03/10/2016 09:23:06
To the program : - A day of excursion from the coast of Florida to the city of Savannah; - A series of panel discussions with Haitian historians : Pierre Buteau and Georges Michel on the historical relations of the Republic of Haiti and the United States of America; - An exhibition of works of Haitian art; - An evening of cultural activity in the presence of the Mayor of the city of St. Marc in Haiti, city twinned with the city of Savannah. In addition to these activities, funds will be collected during the three days to erect a statue of General George Biassou to St. Augustine at the entrance of the cemetery Tolomato (USA). Recall that a monument has been erected in honor of the "chasseurs volontaires" from Saint Domingue at Franklyn Square. HL/ HaitiLibre
