Haiti - Jacmel : Arrests in series
Maxo Jean, a native of Jacmel and Sainvilus Bakenbawer, Louis Charles Jean Raymond, Narcis Lesly, Maitre Francky, Jacques Toussely, Rémy Norgens and Bouly Jules Henri [this last was deported by U.S. authorities], from the town of Leogane. These eight individuals were arrested by the police regional of Sud'Est on Friday, September 10, 2010 during a raid at about one o'clock in the morning.

They are accused of forgery, drug use and alcohol abuse. The police arrested these individuals when they consumed marijuana in Barranquilla, one of the areas of Jacmel, where the bandits prevailed these last weeks. The eight criminals made believe that it to work for the organization "Save the Children" in Jacmel.

Petit Jacques Onécifort, spokesperson of the regional police force specified "after investigations by the police, these people have absolutely no connection with the humanitarian organization "Save the Children". These bandits will be tried by the court of Jacmel for further legal" he precised.

In addition, Petit Jacques, reiterated the will of the police institution to work in order to bring the bandits out of harm's way in the town of Jacmel. The spokesperson regional of the police force requests the collaboration of the population in order to carry out a more effective work in spite of the limited resources it has.
