Haiti - Electricity : Success of the tests on the two gas turbines of the Carrefour III power plant
The Directorate General of Electricity of Haiti (EDH) informs that synchronization tests on the two dual fuel turbines (gas and diesel) of the Carrefour III power plant began on Wednesday, May 26 and continued on Thursday, May 27.

The synchronization of the two turbines has been carried out successfully, which means that this new 60 Mw plant can operate in parallel with the other plants (E-Power, Varreux, Peligre, Carrefour).

In addition, the EDH would like to point out that performance tests will be carried out this Saturday, May 29 and Monday, May 31, 2021. Once these tests are conclusive, the plant will be fully operational and the production capacity of the metropolitan network will be increased by more than 55 Mw.

This new energy production will make it possible to supply EDH subscribers in the metropolitan area for 15 to 18 hours per day on average if there is no scarcity of fuel.

The General Directorate of EDH, while informing that the new Carrefour power station will soon be inaugurated, invites its customers to regularly honor their electricity bills to allow the company to improve in order to contribute to the development of the country.
