Economic reintegration of young people in disadvantaged neighborhoods
As part of its Community Violence Reduction (CVR) program, Minujusth supports a project to improve living conditions in disadvantaged neighborhoods of Port-au-Prince and Cap-Haïtien through the economic reintegration of young people at risk. It is in this context that Minujusth has teamed up with the Don Bosco Rinaldi / Salesians Foundation, which specializes in the recovery and support of street children and young people, in order to give them academic and economic opportunities. This project has been implemented since summer 2018 thanks to the partnership with the association "Volontariato Internazionale per lo Sviluppo" (VIS) and the Institute of Social Welfare and Research (IBESR).

Aging and Economic and Social Rights
Last week at the United Nations Headquarters in New York (April 15 to 18), a Haitian delegation from the Office of Citizen Protection, composed of Mrs. Yolande Moyard Joseph Coordinator of the Territorial Presences and Tex Willer Louis, Coordinator of the Information and Communication Technologies Unit, participated in the 10th session of the Working Group on Aging and Economic and Social Rights.

Reflections on the legal framework of people with disabilities
Two days of reflection were organized by the Office of the Secretary of State Integration of Persons with Disabilities and CBM around the legal framework for the protection of people living with disabilities in Haiti. Discussions focused on the draft law on the organization and operation of the National Observatory for Disability Monitoring and on the draft bill amending the law of 13 March 2012 on the integration of persons disabilities.
