Haiti - Economy : Renaissance competition, Moïse gives a hand to young entrepreneurs
On Saturday, April 20, President Jovenel Moïse delivered the symbolic checks to entrepreneurs in Bainet and La Vallée (Jacmel), winners of the Renaissance Competition.

After the southern department (Camp Périn), North (Cap Haïtien), the Southeast (Bainet) is the 3rd department to participate in the Renaissance Competition, which aims to recruit people with interesting projects and low cost, to support them technically and provide them with support to start or restart a small business so that it becomes stronger and thriving.

Remember that each winner of the Contest receives a check of 200,000 gourdes. Other projects remain a priority in a database for any other period in which credits or grants are available.

In his speech, the Head of State pleaded for credits to farmers, while promising to continue working with people with business ideas in the 4 corners of the country.

The winners, after thanking President Moïse, hoped that such initiatives would continue in many other parts of the country.

  • SOREP (1st Prize 4th section),
  • DAAR Fish Market (1st City Price),
  • "Bigo Poulaye Fanm" (1st Prize 8th section),
  • "Poulaye Sen Jan Batis" (1st Prize Downtown),
  • Sterenson Merolin (1st Prize 2nd section)

The Head of State took advantage of his trip to the department, to talk with approved fishermen's associations, give checks to women under the ONAFanm Credit and hand over the keys of 2 new cars to the Bainet police station.
